Blessed Antonia Church

Blessed Antonia Church - L'Aquila
The church of Blessed Antonia was built by the Gaglioffi family, at the death of its forefather who had expressly requested in his will, dated to 1335, the building of a church, a hospital and a canteen for the poor. The complex was founded on 21 August 1349 as the Eucharist Monastery at the Eagle.
The 2009 earthquake caused serious damage to the ancient structure for which a complete restoration was necessary, as well as the consolidation of some parts of the structure and finally the construction of all artistic lighting systems and Church itself, as well as electric and air conditioning for parts of the complex.
