Electrical cables are one of the components of the electrical system that offers the greatest difficulties of replacement or adaptation, and on the other hand makes it problematic to assess the state of aging.

The role of a good project and implementation of the component, as well as its correct choice and installation, is therefore strategic, so it is essential to assess, in addition to the conditions of use, the influences of environmental conditions.

In this context, the EU Regulations “305/2011” “Construction Products” according to which from 1 July 2017 can only be made ce marked cables and with DoP Performance Statement in the scope of the Regulation itself.
For this purpose, the relevant CEI rules have also been updated, in particular those of cables that meet the requirements of the CPR and their new classification.
